Rotary International's theme for 2024-2025 is "The Magic of Rotary", and The Rotary Club of Secaucus is proud to be part of the 1.4 million Rotarians in over 46,000 clubs in 200 countries worldwide who make a difference every day in the lives of children, adults, and those in need in our communities and across the globe. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene, save mothers and children, support education, grow local economies, and protect the environment under the motto "Service Above Self". You can be a part of that by joining your local Rotary club.

	Rotary's involvement in polio eradication began in 1979 with a five-year commitment to provide and help deliver polio vaccine to six million children of the Philippines. Following similar commitments in other countries, in the early 80's Rotary started planning for the most ambitious program in its history — to immunize all of the world's children against polio, and in 1985 PolioPlus was born. Since then, Rotary’s dedication to the global eradication of polio has remained constant. This year, 2024, marks the 39th anniversary of PolioPlus and more than three decades of progress and challenges the program has faced. But through the efforts of Rotary, over 99 percent of the world’s population lives in regions certified polio-free. The goal of eradication is closer than ever.
